Since 2022, we’ve been proud to call Cysgod y Coed in Llanfor, Bala, North Wales not just our home, but our family business too.

Cysgod y Coed has been part of our family for many years, and taking it on ourselves felt like the beginning of a new chapter. We’ve loved putting our own stamp on the place while keeping the things that make it so special — the peace, the countryside, the river, and that feeling of being tucked away from everyday life.

We live here, we know the area well, and we genuinely love sharing our little corner of North Wales with the people who come to stay.

Over the years, we’ve created two very different retreats, each with its own character, but both designed with the same idea in mind: somewhere lovely to escape to, slow down and enjoy a little time together.

Whether you’re here for adventure, a romantic break, a walk around Bala Lake or simply a few quiet days away, we hope Cysgod y Coed feels like somewhere you’ll want to come back to.
